Care Guide
Each time you burn your candle, make sure that you trim the wick to about 0.5cm long. Wick trimmers or nail clippers can be used. Shortening the wick will give you a cleaner, brighter burn and prevents smoke stains on the glass vessel.
When first lighting your candle, let the top layer of wax melt all the way across the surface. This may take a few hours but blowing it out before this causes ‘tunnelling’ whereby the wick gets lower and unused wax remains on the perimeter of the vessel. Allowing the candle enough time to melt the wax all the way across every time you burn it, will result in an even burn with no wax build up on the sides, going to waste.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Place candle on a heat resistant surface
- Keep the flame away from moving air to avoid black marks on the vessel
- Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel
