Originally woven as horse blankets by Kurdish weavers in Khorassan province in Iran. These make great wall decorations... very finely woven. Also distinctive is that it is actually two weavings sewn together in the middle - this is because the looms used by nomads were quite narrow as they needed to be portable for annual migrations.
